Downtown
Valdese continues to grow and attract exciting new businesses for
your shopping enjoyment. Whether you're looking for crafts, antiques,
food, or music, you'll find a wide variety of strolling Main Street
Valdese offers a diverse selection of retailers that will satisfy
most any shopper.
During
the summer months, downtown Valdese comes alive on Fridays with
a Farmer's Market from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. across from
Town Hall on Faet Street (also open Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. until
noon.)
When the market closes, the music begins, with a series of Family
oriented Friday night Concerts just a short walk away in the Town
parking lot adjacent to Wachovia Bank. These concerts, always a
big draw, feature bluegrass, gospel, and country musicians from
throughout the region. Bring a lawn chair and sit back and enjoy
the entertainment. Or, if your feet are itchin' to dance, jump up
and show your skills.
There are a number of restaurants in Valdese, offering everything
from a sit-down, family dining experience, to the traditional fast
food offerings. Also, a number of fine retailers line Main Street,
offering an excellent selection of shopping within walking distance.
