Family Friday Nights (FFN)
Summer concerts are a staple to the Valdese Summer schedule, and attendees come from all over to enjoy FREE family fun entertainment. The Town of Valdese hosts this series to bring family fun entertainment downtown. Visitors and locals make plans on Friday nights to enjoy time with family, friends, and neighbors while they enjoy various genres of music from regional bands. The Valdese Family Friday Nights Summer Concert Series celebrates the summer on Friday nights from June to August. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy a different regional band each week.
Concessions are available for purchase, and the concession stand is sponsored by various civic groups in Valdese. Proceeds from the concession sales benefit these local groups and their special projects. The featured group will also offer a 50/50 raffle for those who want to participate.
In the Spring of 2022, the Town of Valdese constructed the stage at Temple Field. This project was funded by local sponsorships and donations. The field is home to numerous sporting events throughout the year that utilize the stage for special presentations.
Temple Field is a perfect location to enjoy setting up their chairs and picnic blankets. Free play games are available too - from cornhole to tether ball, there are activities for everyone. Food trucks are welcomed at the first concert of the season and also at the grand finale concert. These concerts are free and welcome attendees of all ages.
Concerts begin at 7pm and are held on Temple Field behind the Old Rock School (400 Main Street West - Valdese, NC). The night of entertainment concludes at 10pm.
