Join us for the Annual Spring Craft Market on Saturday, April 24, 2027, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Temple Field behind the Old Rock School in downtown Valdese!

Hosted by the Valdese Community Affairs Department, this beloved spring tradition features more than 80 handmade craft vendors from across North Carolina, offering a wide variety of unique, locally made goods. Shoppers can browse everything from woodwork, pottery, jewelry, handmade candles, goat cheese, and all-natural bath and body products to home décor, yard art, toys, accessories, and so much more.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of a Western North Carolina Spring day, the event invites the community to enjoy a full day of shopping, live music, and delicious food in the fresh outdoor setting of Temple Field. Originally moved outdoors to allow for more space and social distancing, the event quickly became a favorite in its new location. Thanks to record attendance and overwhelming community support, the Spring Craft Market has remained an outdoor tradition ever since.

Visitors can also enjoy live performances from local musicians and refreshments, making it the perfect family-friendly outing—and an ideal opportunity to find one-of-a-kind Mother’s Day gifts.

“Our craft markets are truly a crowd favorite, and this year, the timing is perfect for Mother’s Day gifting!” says Morrissa Angi, Director of Community Affairs and Tourism for Valdese. “Every year we are amazed by the incredible talent of our vendors. We work hard to offer a wide variety of handmade goods so there is something for every shopper, no matter their age or interest.”

Several local businesses will also be participating, and attendees are encouraged to explore all that downtown Valdese has to offer during the celebration. Enjoy lunch at one of our locally owned restaurants, shop the boutiques, or relax in one of our charming downtown parks surrounded by public art and small-town charm.
