Twilight Tales on the Trail
An evening of legends, lore, and storytelling under the autumn sky.
Friends of the Valdese Rec, Old Colony Players, Valdese Rec Dept, and Burke River Trail Association invite you to a new fall tradition! Stroll less than a mile along the trail and pause at five lantern-lit stations where storytellers will share chilling classics, eerie folklore, and local legends—including a tale from Edgar Allan Poe.
This family-friendly event is especially perfect for teens—something unique to do outdoors, with just the right mix of spooky and fun. Adults and young adults will love it too!
